No New Posts the Temple

    Once a large and grand temple dedicated to one of the past pharaohs: Seti I, the temple itself has now tumbled into ruins. Although half of its roof still remains, it doesn’t look that noble—at least, not as noble as it once was—but it serves as good protection against the heat and most of the elements. It is here that most of the herd members of Thebes gather to socialize and discuss matters within the herd.

No New Posts the Stream

    Although the Nile doesn’t run past Thebes, a few miles outside of the abandoned city, one of the Nile’s estuaries can be found. Nicknamed ‘the stream’ to keep it simple, the estuary is the herd’s main source of water, and foals can be found frolicking in it when the temperatures get quite high. There are a few trees scattered around the area, but apart from that, shade is scarce.

No New Posts the Streets

    The streets of Thebes are lined with houses that are large enough for a horse to enter. Offering plenty of shade, it’s a lovely place for foals to play—although mothers should keep a careful eye on them, because they’re prone to getting lost. During the heat season, mates often retire to one of the houses in order to breed; otherwise the houses and the streets themselves are used as a general ‘hang out’ place for the herd.

Board Description
Thebes
    City of the Living, or so it was once called, but now Thebes lays in ruins. Its once grand temples are no more, and the liveliness that the city used to have about it has vanished, no thanks to the Roman invasion. Still, it remains breathtaking even if it is deserted by man and inhabited by horses—most of the buildings are still standing, except for a few, and it makes a rather nice home for a herd.
