Unwind, chill out, act crazy—it’s a madhouse in here. Well, okay, I suppose that’s allowed… but either way, feel free to put your feet up instead of remaining in-character. We have refreshments on the house, too!

Herds

No New Posts Thebes

City of the Living, or so it was once called, but now Thebes lays in ruins. Its once grand temples are no more, and the liveliness that the city used to have about it has vanished, no thanks to the Roman invasion. Still, it remains breathtaking even if it is deserted by man and inhabited by horses—most of the buildings are still standing, except for a few, and it makes a rather nice home for a herd.

No New Posts Hamunaptra

The legendary City of the Dead, it has been untouched for years. Not even the Magi—the pharaoh’s guards—dared enter it unless it was an emergency. And now, like Thebes, it is in ruins, but the City of the Living fairs better than Hamunaptra. Pillars have crumbled, falling all over the main courtyard, and although it has horses living within its walls, most of the time the area remains quiet and oddly still.

No New Posts Wastelands

Since the death of Cleopatra, the Magi have fled to the desert, hiding wherever they can and passing down their teachings to the next generation so that they can protect the spirits of their pharaohs. Years have passed since the Romans left Egypt and still, there is no sign of the Magi. Instead, the desert has taken on a new, more appropriate name—the Wasteland—and has been given the role of providing a home for the herd that Anubis protects.

No New Posts Wadi el-Muluk

The Valley of the Kings; a sacred ground where all pharaohs are buried. It remains untouched since the death of Cleopatra’s father, and since then, neither human nor horse has stepped foot within its boundaries. The Gods of Egypt frequently meet here—especially the trio that have been given the task of watching over the country and its new inhabitants—to discuss progress and otherwise relax when they aren’t needed.

No New Posts the Nile

Perhaps the only reliable water source in the whole of Egypt, the Nile is the world-famous river that runs through most of Africa—Egypt included, naturally. A variety of plants grow at its banks; mainly reeds and papyrus, but there’s some very nutritious vegetation that grows a little closer to the edge. Be careful not to slip in, however, because it’s rumoured that there are crocodiles in the river, and you wouldn’t want to be snapped up by them, would you?

No New Posts the Lowlands

A low dip of land just before the strip of embankment that lines the Nile, the Lowlands are a favourite place for unclaimed mares to relax. Bordered by trees and bushes, it’s a secluded area, which most females find enjoyable—but it also means that stallions are prone to lurking around and taking who they can, be it by kindness, force or… other ‘necessary’ ways of persuasion.
