Welcome to Inspirational, where dragons, elves, faeries, and many more mythical creatures roam...
A long time ago, thousands of years before the current time, elves arrived in a land of lushness. They came in boats across the Angishole sea, because their own land was dominated by dangerous spells and horrific creatures. Finding the land empty except for various beasts, they settled in. The land, to them, was an Inspiration, and thus, they called it Inspirational, or Inspira for short. After a while they decided they needed a new name, something that really sounded like a place. So, they named it Aethia, which used to be a word meaning "lush" in an old and forgotten language that elves used to speak.
The elves lived here for many happy years, and then the humans came. It wasn't a bad day, for humans back then weren't evil like they are now. Not that all of them are evil, but I'm sure you understand. After all, you are one.
So the humans and the elves exchanged gifts and lived in peace, one great and peaceful king right after the next. Humans built towns and such, and tamed some of the beasts. But after a while, a tyrant rose up. No one dares speak her name, she is known only as "The Tyrant." She was a shade. A whole series of events followed in which Aethia was a miserable place, but after a while, a boy named Calyn Alduran rose up and partnered with a hellhorse by the name of Yvonette. They defeated the tyrant, with help from others, mainly the eccentric elven princess Aurora. But that's a story for another day.
Now we arise at the current plot. For after the Tyrant was destroyed, the lands fell into chaos without a ruler. Of course, it's better than tyranny, but once imprisoned criminals are free and wreaking havoc, the beasts are getting out of control and killing without the spells that once held them back. They blamed the humans for their torture, though it was really only poor soldiers under the threat of death from the Tyrant who did it. Let's just wait and see, maybe Calyn will again save Aethia.
Or maybe Aethia is no more.
